They offer features you won't find anywhere else and the company is rock solid. The one downfall is that you are unable to fax out with this plan, but from what I understand, they will have a fax feature in the very near future.
GotVMail is 4th in this category because
They have made some great changes to their plans recently and will save you money!
onebox is 5th in this category because
They have great plans at a great price. Their included features are on par with the competition.
12/10/2008 - Virtual PBX has changed their plans and have made them more affordable. I'm moving them into the 2nd spot, but they are very close to GotVMail and RingCentral.

4/2/2008 - Some big changes in this category. Debuting in 2nd place is Davinci Virtual. Davinci knows how to do SOHO - just take a look at their Live Receptionist plan and their Virtual Offices. Also moving up is Onebox which too is now offering a Live Receptionist plan.
12/07/2007 - GotVMail moves to a VERY CLOSE 2nd place! I would love to put them in the number one slot, but they need to include a few more features (dedicated fax line and/or include a second line at no additional fee) AND they need to eliminate the setup fee. Other than that GotVMail Rocks!

RingCentral
RingCentral is one of my favorites, so much so that they are my personal choice of carriers for CollegeHelpers.com. They offer a ton of features at a reasonable prince with downloadable utilities that make their product top-notch!
RingCentral doesn't mess around when it comes to faxing. Their integrated utility makes it a snap to fax any document on your computer right over the internet.
Their included minutes are priced very well and they only charge for 1 leg!!!!

Get ready for the Grand-Daddy of them all - VirtualPBX.com! Believed to be the first of the hosted PBX companies, VirtualPBX knows how to to do Virtual PBX right - they even have the trademark on the phrase "Virtual PBX".
In a word, they are RELIABLE. So reliable that companies contract with them for a seamless backup option for when their on-site PBX system fails. It begs the question why you wouldn't go with them in the first place and forego the expense of a true PBX system.
